Husband Down
A husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart.
The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart.
'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.
'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans he replies.
'Put them back, we can't afford them demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping.
A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.
What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband.
'It’s my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' replies the wife.
Her husband retorts: 'So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price.'

On the PA system: 'Cleanup on aisle 25, we have a husband down

Rick, 5 or 6 years ago I took my family on an rv trip up the coast of ME to Bar Harbor. We stopped at several towns along the way and had lobsters and steamers at every stop. I love the coast. I've also been fishing on Moosehead Lake. Also lived in Springfield NH for a little while on 50 acres with moose, bear and deer in my backyard and trout in the stream out front. I do miss it! I've traveled to Japan as well and took the bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka. Nice ride! If you ever make it over there you'll be impressed at how punctual and efficient everything is.

Just got back from delivering a 4runner to my corpsman son in GL. Glad to see some activity here.
Greg, just busted up laughing at your husband post!
Rick, congratulations to your sailor! I noticed the same changes in my son who also started basic last year at the end of Aug. So almost a year in the Navy now. Where abouts in ME are you? I was born in Portland many years ago and still have lots of relatives in the Windham area and around Sebago Lake.

Rick,
Glad someone likes jokes. We hang on Navy for Dads site too. There is a dad there who's son is on the ESSEX too. His son is BM.

Rick, thanks for the information. Sounds like your son is having a wonderful introduction to the Navy! My son is a corpsman and is currently on the USS Iwo Jima, also a "gator." I see in your profile you raise English springer spaniels. I had the most wonderful one, named her Sabrina. They're so pretty, fun and loving!
