Tpadul, my son is qm too and graduates 4-21-17. Congrats to your daughter. I did get a form letter last week but that's it so far. I'm praying I dont miss the call because i can't always get to my phone at work. I hope you get a letter soon.

HI trk thanks for your post!! I hope I get a letter today. it feels like time has stopped since she arrived. I only received the box in the mail, and I didn't even get the form letter in the mail like all the other moms did that had kids arrive the same day and the day after my daughter did, so I'm feeling pretty sad. I hope I get something soon.

tpadul Hi! My son is also QM and currently in BC with PIR 3/31/17. He was able to send a letter 1 week after he arrived, but not everyone did so if you don't get a letter soon it is coming. I am sure she will be fine, we received a phone call on a Sunday his 3rd full week. He told us it wasn't that bad, and his recent letter said the same thing, so she will be just fine. I am wondering if there just aren't a lot of QM's.

Hello I am new here, My daughter is now in BC at due for PIR on 4-21-17 her rate is QM and her A school is at Great Lakes. I was excited when she was given this rate and she has heard it is a really good rate. I'm excited for her and now just keeping fingers crossed she gets through BC OK. I'm still waiting for letters to come and have not heard from her yet.

Mesonj, have you tried fb groups? Some can be good. Others? There are some "mom" groups. There are also ship groups. Some are hidden but can be joined once you find a connection.
I went through deployments last year with my boys. If you connect with the ship ombudsman that gets you info too. You have to get info from your sailor to be on the list.
Hope that helps

QM Deployed. No success connecting with other groups/blogs that are current. Feeling sad not knowing anything.

No problem. Need anything else, will try my best. I don't check the site much, but do get emails from it. QM site doesn't move too much as you can see.
My QM did not re-up, so is back home. My AG is still serving.

Trk, it has been a few years, but my son went straight from basic to A school. After QM graduation, he got to come home for a little bit before reporting to his first duty station. I hope that helps.

My son is currently in boot camp then on to QM "A" school. Do they normally go right into schooling or do they have to wait for a period of time?
