Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son was just sent to RCU as he didn't pass his vision exam on intake. He is currently pending a waiver to proceed in boot camp. He required a waiver when he went through MEPS. Anyone have…Continue

@Kc'smom Thank you it was just wonderful I can't even begin to express it however it was so short of an amount of time with him, but I wouldn't have changed it for the world. Zach wanted to know what your son's name was because he was there at that time as well. @WestonsMom thank you as well. @ Colten's Mom he was injured end of 4 beginning of 5. Thank you gals again  :-) just stay strong and one day we will all be celebrating your sons as well.

Sbarber- you know what's really amazing? to think that both of our sons were actually in RCU at the same time and are now Sailors. Mine was in there from the end of May to July 14th.

sbarber- I know your joy!!!  I still cry thinking about it. It truly is amazing. Our kids/ loved ones are so brave to do what they are doing!!  Congratulations on your new U.S. Navy Sailor!!!!

I am now the mother of a U.S. Navy Sailor, it was a very long hard road but, we made it my son looked fantastic today during graduation. It just goes to show that it can be done they can heal and move on out of RCU to follow their dreams. Thank you all so much for the love, support, and prayers for my son during this rough time.:-)

Can anyone tell me how often they can phone home in RCU? Is it only on Sundays or is it also after doctors appointments?

Thanks everyone. So excited waiting for tomorrow morning so we can head on out to Chicago and Donna he will be we will all be praying for him and he is strong. You will be giving us the great news next :-)
