Colton's mom- my son had to sit in the middle of the room on the floor with a bunch of other infjured recruits without talking, for 8 hours b/c they played hangman on a dry erase board without asking.

Colten was going to finish BC in RCU but he got in trouble so they put him back with a DIV. for 2 weeks. SO had he not sprayed some air freshener that misted onto another recruit he would be done. He was injured during week 5.

@CoastalKat: Some of them are allowed to work on stuff and take test its all up to the RDC's that they have at the time, it also depends on his injury and how far along he was in his training when he was injured like week/day. Sorry there isn't a for sure answer to that but hope that helps.

So Colten'sMom, he was able to work on his training while in RCU, right? Mine thinks he won't be allowed. I need to perk him up & let him know that some were allowed to work on their training. He said the group was a great bunch but a little stir crazy from being in there & bored.

my son was allowed to work on his training while in RCU. He went in for leg stress fractures so he was limited for the first week or two. he just finished boot camp yesterday...a lot sooner then everyone thought even the doctor he saw first. My son was determined to get out of RCU ASAP so he used his original PIR date as a goal and then his birthday. He is now finished one week before his bday!

I suppose I can't speak for everybody but I don't recall my son being allowed to do ANYTHING except therapy and laundry. No tests or anything that worked towards graduating.

Does anyone know if the SR is allowed to work on their training while in RCU? Does it depend on their RDC?
