I understand how you feel donna. I was out of town over the weekend and wouldn't leave my phone for a second! I feel sick with worry. I hope I get a letter today. Havent' got one since last Monday and I was getting at least 2 a week. You won't miss PIR. They call home after they pass battlestations to let you know "I'm a sailor". Surely your SR would let you know. Soooo... in the meantime, more waiting and hoping. :(

They have watch in RCU? They wouldn't punish them and not let them call home in there, would they?

WestonsMom PAO is the public affairs office at RTC. He may have had watch when they got to call please don't worry to much. He will call if they make any changes to would move him out of RCU or anything else serious. I know its hard but it will be ok. You can also email if there is anything you don't want to post here ok. We are traveling but I will check in from time to time.

he has money and they sell phone cards at the NEX. I'm assuming he does have one. I'm sure he would've already bought a new one if the old phone card was running out. Sunday a week ago when he called last, he said he wasn't in any sort of cast so I'm thinking he's not on crutches. Not sure though. He did say he was in phase 2. He would've called me, my mom or my brother. No one's heard from him at all. What's PAO? I thought about calling his recruiter to see what he knows. I don't wanna get him in trouble though. Thank you.... It does help some.

@westonsmom: Does he have a phone card? he will have to have one to call and they get to call everyweekend they do not call after dr's appt. he will have to update you at that time. RCU has 4 phases of PT each 2 weeks long phase 1 is for kids on crutches so if he isn't on them he will start in phase 2 and go from there. He may have called someone else, sometimes they get an hour sometimes 15 min it all depends on their RDC at the time. How loong has it  been since you spoke to him? If your really worried you can call the PAO and ask them to have him call with a medical update but, think long and hard before you do that you may just want to wait or send him a phone card and a letter TELLING him to call you. My son was there 7 weeks and called every weekend. Hope that helps.

I haven't heard from my SR since last Monday when I received his 1st letter in RCU. Didn't sound good and now I'm really worried. I was getting about 2 letters a week. He was supposed to go to the doctor on Wednesday so I just knew he'd call. But nothing.
