The Tuscan Soup recipe was great! I made a double batch for leftovers. My Sailor came home for holiday leave and says the soup came out chunky but he enjoyed it.

Hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas. I'm finally going to try the Tuscan Soup recipe for New Year's Day and maybe the Spicy Shrimp and Bok Choy. Hubby will probably like the Easy Crockpot BBQ Meatball Sandwhiches more than anything else. Have a Happy New Year's!!

Charly, How did Troy decide on the Marines instead of the Navy to become an officer and a pilot for them? Just curious. It is wonderful either way. How is your daughter doing on the GW and has she had a chance to be on shore in Australia? or again?

Made my chicken pot pie and it's cooling down.
Just waiting for hubby to come in now.
Nothing special to go along with it although a salad would have been nice.

I basically stay with chicken, fish (salmon), ground turkey or cutlets, rice or pasta, and veggies for hubby. I get tired of fixing the same old thing all the time but I always enjoy the salmon. I'll fix something different close to the weekends. That reminds me, I have to defrost the chicken out of the freezer since I'm suppose to be making a big dish of chicken pot pie. I like it when we have leftovers! I make it in a 9x13 glass baking dish.

If I try something different it'll be on the weekends. As long as it is simple & quick to make, I'm happy! But hubby eats pretty basic and hates change but as long as it is something he likes he is okay.

There is no name for it but I will cook about a 1 lb ground turkey, with chopped onion, seasonings, add a cup of cooked rice, bag of frozen petite green peas, two cans of cream of mushroom soup, and a can of water or milk. Stir all together and heat through.

That is something quick & easy that we both like. Now hubby is wanting another chicken pot pie.
