DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi everyone, Let's try to plan another get together. Looking for suggestions, dates?
place?
I will host at my house(if everyone wants to come "all" the way to Snug Harbor).
I was thinking the weekend of Dec.13/14, either Sat. or Sun., even Friday evening would be okay. I could make a simple meal, or we could do pot luck, or even just desert and coffee(or any other beverage), Anthony and I are not drinkers, but we could certainly do wine and cheese, whatever!
Will wait for suggestions !!!!!

Hi Alicia! Welcome!!! Great that you found us. My son is in Iraq, he is a seabee, and has been in for 2 years! Graduation is awesome, beyond description, just bring plenty of tissues! Get there early, so you won't miss out on the division shirts, hats etc. We didn't know anything about that, so we were too late. Also, you should look for any "meet and greet" events scheduled before the graduation, if you are in town you should go. We missed that also, and it would have been so helpful! I missed a couple of my son's calls from Iraq, I know how you feel, I keep his messages, so I can listen to his voice when I am realllly missing him.Hope to get to meet you at our next R.I.Moms/families get together!

Hi All, I have just learned of a young man from Newport, R.I., who has joined the Navy, and he doesn't have any support, family or otherwise.( He is a friend of my best friends grandson) His name is Patrick Critz, I don't know if he is in boot camp yet, or what, I am trying to find out the details! Just wanted to ask you all to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
