Don't expect any phone calls from them during Marine week....mine said on Monday night, all phones stay behind. They have no time for luxuries as phone calls and some field time...I'm glad he got the hard one over with first...now he can enjoy everything else. Hope the weather is nice out there, should be in SD, I feel sorry for the east guys going next month...the temps here in the south have not gone below 97....sweltering....

Cheryl S.  I haven't heard back from my son, so I'm not sure if he's in the same company as your son.  But I imagine that they are doing the same things.  Thanks for the update!  I'm jealous of those of you that get your daily text messages :)

Hi Sounds like they are having fun. Just heard about the sunburns from my son.  Do they need khakis at all out there?  i don't think my son brought any.

Hey Cheryl S.  Is your son doing surface, subs, aviation and marine week last?  If so, I guess that means our sons are in the same rotation.

So how many are out their in total?  I assume hundreds, right?

I am so glad you all are posting what's going on (thanks to those FB friends, right?).  I get limited information.
