Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Son not selected for NROTC scholarship

Our youngest son, Mark wasn't selected to receive the Navy ROTC Scholarship. He applied to 5 colleges and so far has received letters of acceptance to 3 so far. No clue as to why. We really thought he was going to get it. He applied in August 2015…Continue

Just heard from my son...he starts off with Marine week...I told him to keep his mouth shut at all costs.....nothing worse than a pissed off Gunny trying to prove a point....I hope he doesn't let the head games piss him off!!

June4th, I sure hope she's wrong.....of course, she's going by what she was told, I am curious to see what other moms have heard. I have not heard from my son yet, I will post to let you know. I went on the NEX Navy Exchange web. That is where they get their uniforms. You can access if you have her ssn, I can because I am retired military. Safe to say, the uniform will cost her around 120.00. I checked khaki shirt, approx 28.00 and pants for women around 49.00. You can google Navy Exchange. It may be cheaper to fedex, which I will have to do if it is required. Thanks for the info...I will def ask him.

My daughter arrived safely! Has her company and room! She did tell me she was told she now needs her khakis for Marine week! The packet she had received prior to going was that she did NOT need her khakis, so now she is afraid she will have to buy some! Does anyone know how expensive they are???

Yes! He called! Has his company, his room, put on his Navy Work Uniform and he's ready.
