For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

moving to pensacola
Okay, so I just got a letter from my husband who is currenlty in bootcamp. He informed me that his a-school is now going to be 34 weeks instead of 22 weeks. Since it will be over 6 months, the navy should pay for me to more down there right? Does anyone know if there's something I need to do or someone I need to contact? Or do I just wait for him to graduate. We originallly didn't think it would be long enough for the navy to move us down so we didn't really talk about it or ask his recruiter for details.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi, My name is Maryanne, a Navy Mom and haven't been on here for awhile. My son went to Pensacola also and the answer to your question is No, the navy will not pay for your move to Pensacola. You have to wait till he gets his orders..after schooling. My son is a CTM and after his A and C schools he was given a choice of where he wanted to be located. I am not sure your husband will have a choice of location or not but once this happens they will move you and of course if your living off base you will get your rent allowance (how much depends on location) and you will need to find a place. My son is located in the DC area and most apartments waive security allowance and credit checks for military. Hope this helps :)

Thank you Maryanne. Not the answer I was hoping for but that seems to be the consensus. I wish recruiters would get there s*** together and start telling facts!
