Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

daughter was supposed to come home friday i thought but she surprised me at work in her white uniform happy day

He said that they still do PT, muster up, and have inspections. They do work detail. He said he and 6 others are at the "hobby shop." Apparently a place where they work on cars...not sure how much they do there. Just doing what they can hoping that they can leave soon!

Maussie: Your daughter graduates this Friday, right? My son's a yeoman also. Many of them got through the self-paced program in 4 weeks. My son took longer...got stuck on Mod 4, the longest and hardest one! There are 15 of them, but the others aren't bad. Seems like the orders for Yeoman are very backed up. Don't know if that is the norm,or if they just had a glut of yeomen. He finished school April 1st...and he still waits...but he is hoping that next week is THE WEEK. Our children may be "passing in the night" as one leaves and the other arrives. Good luck to your daughter!
