My son is from S. Florida. Snow? Non-existent. He was looking forward to getting to Miss. and some warmer no-snow weather. HA! Haven't talked to him since Monday, but I wonder what he is thinking NOW? I hope that they had some fun in the snow in Miss....I don't think they got to "play in it" in GL.

Thank you for the good wishes on my son's health!
The snow he saw in GL and now in Ms is the 1st for him.He told me that yesterday afternoon, they were playing with the snow, throwing snow balls, after that he went to the bedroom to rest.....one of the other 2 sailors that are in the same room brought some movies and lend them to him.

Thanks, Sharon. I'm sure he will call home in a couple of days and I'll ask him then. Haven't talked to him since Monday when he had only been there for a day, so he probably wasn't thinking of an address yet.

I'm off of here for the day, have a great night ladies, and God Bless All our Kiddo's!

On the "field day" comment...don't we all wish that we could take a crash course in all of the Navy lingo so we know what our sailors are talking about???? I'm sure they would rather not have to keep telling us what it all means! :-)

Thanks, Nancynavymom. I'll have to ask him for it when he calls again.

Yes we did, he used his calling card to give it to us, but said the pay phones were quite away from him, it is different too, I have sent him 3 and his dad 2, but he hasn't received them yet, so I don't know how long it takes the mail.
