Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Patti YAY for Elliot!!! Mine didn't mind Meridian to much at least there were kids his own age there!! I don't get how the Navy can run out of sheets just as bad as not working out transportation for them. It all makes no sense to me. My son had to take a cab from the airport to his duty station 45 miles away. Cost him over 100 dollars, said he will be reimbursed..... I wonder???

SK classes are self taught so its up to your sailor how long he will be in Meridian. Mine finished quickly.

Does everyone have a sponser while they are at thie new duty station?? My son
is having a hard time adjusting, didn't metion a sponser.

What is his job??? SK's or storekeepers are self taught. That is what my son is

Kim I am so glad Hans has arrived safely!!! How lucky he is to have a sponser to
show him around!! Where my son is he was pretty much on his own for the first day. No one showed him around. Best of luck to Hans!!! Alyse congrats to your son TOO!!! Yay!! :) SEE YA Meridian.... :) LOL

Someone here knows the answer or can find it out for you. Kim I was in your shoes last week saying goodbye to Jas, it is sooo hard to let go!! :( Be a proud Navy mom!! Wow Kendra your boyfriend is flying thru Storekeeper school!! He must really want to see you... :) Good for him!! Welcome to all the new Meridian moms, my son is out of there now but this group holds a special
place in my heart.

Welcome back Mimi!!! :) I am sad as we have just came home from the airport
dropping Jas off!! :( Hes on his way to his Navy career. It was really hard for
me to let go, knowing it will probably be awhile before we see him again.
Hope all sailors are ok in Meridian saw that had some bad weather there.
