If you have requested to join the LS Navy family page (or plan to in the future) please check your "other" messages.  We are waiting on replies from a few people.  Thank you!

Hi everyone!

If there are new moms on here or if someone missed the other post - there is now a facebook group for LS family members to chat, share, ask and answer questions, etc.  It's a closed group so you will have to request to join but we will get you on as soon as we verify that you're not the enemy (lol).  We want to ensure the safety of our SR's/Sailors!!  Everybody's names on here are so different than the names on facebook so we may not recognize you right away.  We usually ask a question or two but please know that it's for the safety of loved ones serving their country!  We do follow OPSEC rules on that page as well! Hope to see you there!  Have a good day!

@pa mom- my sailor says not everyone has a computer there, he has his there and just uses it to go online and when he has down time, not for class. If he wants to buy one, they have computers at the nex on base. It's a little cheaper there, too.

Just wondering if my sailor will need a computer for A School.  He doesn't have one currently, our school district provided them during high school and if he did he would have to purchase it there or I would have to purchase it and send it.  Just not sure what he would need.  Any ideas?

It was really great for my sailor because he went to Meridian after PIR with 17 of his shipmates from boot camp! He had the time of his life!

They stay in Meridian on base while in TPU. They still work and do watch and Muster

Temporary hold while waiting for A school or orders. I believe the navy calls it Transient Processing Unit.
