good morning my sailor is now at meridian and will start april 6 wher is everyone from?? what do we need to send??
Anyone know if A-school allows the students to have their own vehicle while at A-school? My son graduates from BC on 4.12.13 and will be heading to Meridian for A-school. We are only a 3.5 hour drive from Meridian and had thought about taking his truck to him.
My daughter phone connection at Meridian, MS constantly drops and have bad reception (Tmobile), we can't talk long because we are constantly asking what each other to repeat what was said. Anyone else having this same issue, from what I understand they are in the boomdox/countryside, which explains the bad reception.
Any workaround, phone booths on base, tips, tricks, suggestions????
This is our second year in, and second A school. The first one was in Pensacola after Boot Camp. Hope everyone have a blessed day!
Hello everyone! My husband literally just arrived to Meridian about 5 minutes ago. He was able to fly from our home state to Atlanta, then to Meridian. The cab that he's taking right now cost $20. His overall trip was good, other than the 3 hour layover in Atlanta but it was either that or arrive in Meridian at 9:30 at night. So, it worked out fine.
He had watch directly after PIR for 4 hours- he volunteered thinking it was 2 hours. We were able to take him out for dinner that night and he was going to airport sat at 3am. He couldnt take it back to the base after PIR. He could have had his phone and laptop in his possession had we been able to meet him at the airport saturday morning, sort of been in limbo since PIR. the package was to arrive on Wed, it hadnt yet. hopefully tomorrow. I wish we could have met him, but waiting is a lost art. He'll be ok.
