MA's in Naples Italy - (Sort of a Sub Group for MA Mom's with Sailors in Naples Italy)

So this is more of what I was thinking.  A place where those with a Sailor that's a MA can post so we can figure out who all the MA Mom's are.  This way we are still part of the big Naples group.  Feel free to jump in if you have a Sailor that's an MA and introduce yourself.

I am joining Pam. My son is an MA2.He is at Naples  Naval Support. He has his car over there, but has hit his garage twice since being there as it is a tight L turn. He lives about 20 miles north of base. His fiance is there until the end of the month. I am going to see him in October. YEAH! :)

Adele...That is so exciting that you are going over to visit!!!  My son bought a car last week.  It's a $500 piece of junk he said but at least it's something to get around in.  lol  You'll have to private message me your son's last name since that is how they all know each other over there so I can ask my son if he knows your son.

I hope you have a great visit over there and get to spend lots of great time with your MA2!!!

Adele...Can't wait to hear about your trip when you get back!!  Missing my Sailor so much!!  So excited that you're getting to see your's!!

My son Nick arrived in Naples last week.  He is staying at the Naval Support Base(I think) not at Capo. I got to Skype with him Tues evening.  What an awesomely amazing thing that Skype!

My daughter is a SRMA she is just starting her job as an MA about 2 or 3 weeks ago

I hope she is enjoying it.  My son has been there since June and is having a blast!  He's been to Rome, Florence and the Amalfi Coast. He's also done a ziplining tour over there which he absolutely LOVED!

Hi Ladies! I am back from Italy. It was a wonderful experience. He lives in a small town north of Naples. Didn't like Naples at all. It is dirty, crowded, the drivers are crazy. The water is polluted. We got lost after we picked up our rental car in the area right outside of the airport. We were going in circles down crazy alleys with cars coming right at you! Finally found our way to Capo and got ANdrew's navigator. AFter that we were ok. Andrew's apartment is beautiful. It's huge! He looks good but is very thin. He is still recovering from Mono. He doesn't live near anyone he knows, and feels lonely and isolated, which makes me sad. I only got 3 1/2 days with him out of 8 days, but I cherished every minute. We went to Sorrento, Pompeii, saw Mount Vesuvius, which was lovely. We also got to drive through thew Tuscany region, went to Pisa to see the Tower, and went to Florence for dinner, which I absolutely loved. We spent 3 days in Rome, and that was outstanding. Andrew could come for our last day and a half. It was rough as usual saying good-bye. But, I know it will only be 6 months before I see him again. He will be coming home in May to get married. I will be so happy when his new wife is with him over there! Take care Moms!

Welcome Johanne! My son is still over there until early next year. If there is anything you need to know, please ask. Has your son found a place yet? Take care, and post if you have a question. Welcome aboard!

Should I activate his iPhone international plan or should he get. Phone over there?
