Has anyone heard when the CW will be shipping out?

Just got a text from my son letting me know he boarded his flight to Japan. He's newly assigned to the CW as a FC. His older brother has been stationed in Japan for the past 2 years and will be meeting him at the airport when he arrives (since his sponsor is out on the ship). Looking forward to keeping in touch with you all.

Her job is IC.  Just found out it will be over a year before she goes to the CW.  She will be in San Diego for a year first.  Thanks!

My daughter is assigned the Curtis Wilbur.  First, she must complete C school.  Anyone know how long that will be?  She says she doesn't know.  What is the usual length of assignment on the CW?  Again, she says she doesn't know.  Thank you!

Will sailors be able to text while onboard?

The last post I see on this site besides the last couple of days is from March of 2012.  Is anyone else seeing posts from the past year?  Wonder what happened to them???

My son has been on the USS Curtis Wilbur since January 2011. He just received his orders to San Diego in early 2014!  I can't wait to have him back in the states!!!

Jansu I can't remember the address for when they are gone. Can you send it to me on PM please. I think this will be my son's last trip. He is training a new guy to take his place. Last year he was the one getting trained. Now he is doing the training. How time flies by.
