Navygurl, My son is an AM at North Island, also works on helicopters and he has only been there since Dec 23. After he graduated A school in Pensacola, he waited for almost 3 weeks before he was able to come home. But that doesn't mean that is the normal. Everything works at a different pace most of the time. There is a Pensacola A school group that I got alot of info from when he was there. When he came home he used 10 days leave and then drove on with his car from Oklahoma to San Diego. He is single and lives in the barracks so I can't tell you anything on how the housing works. Before he leaves Pensacola he will get his orders and there will be someone for him to contact (a sponsor) that will help out alot. Make sure he does that because it isn't mandatory but is very helpful.

That's great RayRay, I was praying here in Oklahoma and put it on my Facebook for people to be aware of. I will continue to pray for these SEALS.

Ray Ray, I live in Oklahoma. Is there anything I can do from here in support of the Seals? Other than prayer of course.

Daneille, I wasn't meaning to be cruel, really :) I wish you luck-it is a beautiful place to live, but I couldn't believe how expensive it is over there0considreing we are from the South-it was a shock to us! That should have been Silver not Siver.

Danielle, we were there last month-our son lives onSiver Strand. We saw some real estate for sale there-Coronado Cays-a 1600 sq.ft. condo-reduced to 890,000.00-beachfront.

We returned to Georgia last evening from visiting our son in Coronado-absolutely beautiful place if you have never been. The drive out was smooth-weather mild and no rain-we took the southern route-I-20,I-10, I-8. Coming back on I-40, however, we hit snow in Arizona, New Mexico, and Amarillo. We still enjoyed our trip, though.
