Yeah, I know. its just it says "We stand behind every car we sell" then, 3 mo or 3000 mile warranty. He bought it at 67,000 miles and it still has 67,000 something miles on it. To have them show a navy lady and a sign that says Military mom here is beyond disgusting. I've reported them to the Navy League, chamber of commerce and am posting on all the military sites.

Barbara, here is their web site. (They stand behind every car they sell)! LOL
also, there is a sign in front that says "Military mom is here" a lady dressed in white shirt, white capris with a white hat saluting. Boy, they see those sailors coming. I'm considering calling the BBB, and the business is on the Navy League's page. My son went to the owner and he refused to take care of the problem or even help him. I just talked to the owner myself and he hung up on me.

Thanks Barbara for that link last week. How is your Derek doing? Well, I have some more car info. My son did buy a car there, as you know. At Angelos in San Diego. It mostly sits on the base and he rarely drives it. However, he was having problems with the clutch, they said it needed to be fixed and he needs a new $3000 transmission. He's barely put 100 miles on it. Used of course, so without a warranty, is it Tough Luck? They KNEW those things were wrong with that car when they sold it to him. They saw him coming. Do you think we have any recourse? If it wasn't for bad luck, my son wouldn't have any at all. First the roommate thief, then the girl that was only a friend he put on his phone plan ($$$), then the galley overcharged him and overdrafted his account, etc. I hope he can catch a break sometime.

My heart goes out to the family of the sailor who lost his life doing his job in service for his country. God Bless the family and all of the sailors aboard the USS Stennis.

Carol, my son bought a car in San Diego, but I tell him to be very careful and always aware of his surroundings. my brother was in San Diego and a career Navy guy, but he says the gangs are more like organized crime now instead of gangs. But then, I am a worrier...
Different exhaust regulations there, so I sold his car here instead of him driving it there. After his C school is over, he's thinking of driving his car home to TX to keep it here while he's in Japan.

You're killin me!, you're killing me. PIR was 4/18/08, so we have our 1 yr.
anniv. and I cried all last year, but at New Years, I was all better. At peace, so to speak. Now in SD for C school, I know he'll be going to Japan and then Afghan after that, so I guess deployment is the next roller coaster. And I was doing so well.....

Thanks Carolina and T for the tips on visiting San Diego. I must go sometime to visit my son. But it won't be until I'm done with the garden - around late July early August. I'd love to car pool with someone. I like road trips. I'm getting to hate the airlines.....

PS. Judi, can you put your FIL's picture on the Navy History Group? And anyone else, if you have any historic photos of ships, subs, family, etc., I'd love for you to post them in Navy History. I find it so exciting.
