Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In an attempt to keep this group active, and to help us get to know each other better, I've decided to start a fun discussion that simply asks the question:

What is your favorite hobby?

So please, share with us and tell us what you like to do for fun! For me, my hobby is my career. I LOVE paper crafting and my hubby was kind enough to let me quit my day job to become a house wife and start my own business making cards and other gifts using paper and stamps! It's tough getting started, but I'm blessed to be able to say that I love my job!

What about you?

I'm an artist. Painting, writing, and photography. :)
That sounds super fun! You will definitely have to let me know when your blog is up so I can check out your work :D
NimNim! So exciting that you have your own biz. I really admire your hard work. Taking on a biz by yourself is crazy time consuming. :) Best wishes getting all that to take off.
Thanks Jim's Mermaid! Yeah it's definitely tough getting my business off the ground. I started it almost a year ago and I'm still waiting to earn a profit instead of spending all my money on supplies...lol. But it's fun and I enjoy what I do. If only there was more time in the day, though...lol.
my hubby and I are dancers.. so in our free time (and sometimes when we should be sleeping) we go to milonga's to tango dance.. its alot of fun
Oh my gosh that sounds so fun! I wish my hubby danced! It's such good exercise too! So are you both trained dancers, or do you just do it for fun?
I have so many hobbies, I can't just pick one! [I might bore you with a list.] For the next four years, though, I will not be able to indulge in ANY of them. I just started a PhD program, which--when combined with full time work and a family--means I will have ZERO free time. I will need to make all my N4M friends this month, because in September it will seem like I dropped off the planet!

I love doing yoga :D

My favorite hobby is learning to dance. :D I love folklorico, I just have not been able to do it with class conflicts :/

I like to crochet in my spare time.  I go to a free crochet group at my local library every Wednesday.  I've made a few small items. Here are a few that I would like to share.  I hope you can see it.

While paper crafting isn't my job, I love to make cards and especially scrapbooks. I'm still mastering the art of stamping and embossing. I wish I had more time to devote to it! I actually look forward to rainy weekends so I won't feel guilty for simply scrapbooking all day!
