I agree with RightHere, if you can find good-priced housing on Coronado, snatch it up because the traffic on the bridge is crazy. My hubby works on North Island and he has to leave the house no later than like 4:50am so he can beat the bridge traffic in the mornings to be at muster on time. But I guess it depends on your hubby's work hours too. My hubby gets off work around 3pm and he doesn't have to deal with traffic on the way home. If he got off work later, though, he'd be sitting in almost an hour of traffic.

I'm biased. i love where I work. Actually, one of my neighbors works at Coro. It's 20mi away and takes him a LONG time to get to work because the bridge is always so busy, so if you can find a decent place for a decent price on the island, get it! Otherwise the traffic crossing back and forth is going to give you a headache! It's aweful.

The fair here goes until July 5th. Their website is www.sdfair.com/fair and you can see what concerts there will be along with other events. I can't wait to go!

Eeew, deep fried butter, really? Ick.. That just sounds like twenty lbs to the thighs right there... lol
The fair they had back in Az when I went home had fried oreos, YUM! They were pretty good. :] Much better in milk than grease though. Lol I want to go to fair,, I've never been to the one out here, how long does it last??

I think it becomes more of a deep fried biscuit really because it is coated with a batter of some sort..but when he tries it let me know how he liked it!

deep fried reese's and oreos don't sound so bad. But deep fried butter? Really? that's just pushing it...lol...

Yeah I got our tickets on base at Miramar and they had a great deal...I ate the fried reese's and my sister and my son ate the fried oreos and they loved it. Yes they have deep fried butter there....deep fried avocados, deep fried klondike bars and more...
Comment by NimNimsWife on June 21, 2010 at 1:21pm
My hubby told me that his ship has super awesome prices for fair tickets, so make sure to have your hubbies check with their ships, or at least check the MWR for fair tickets. They're WAY cheaper than getting tickets at the gate! I think hubby and I are gonna go within the next couple of weeks. He heard someone talking about getting deep fried butter there and now he wants to try it...so gross...
