Yeah. There was a week I was so busy with work and everything else that when he came back from his underway completely field dayed the crud out of the place! I felt terrible but it was driving him nuts and he was trying to be nice. Lol. :]

RightHere - Yeah hubby and I came up with a deal. He'll put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and do the laundry, then I'll put the clean dishes away and fold and put away the laundry. I guess I got too used to just cleaning on an as needed basis and hubby got sick of it. So we came up with that deal so that the house stays somewhat clean. It's definitely still hard for me to be motivated to keep up with the rest of the cleaning though...lol. But I'm trying. I try to do an hour of cleaning first thing in the morning and hubby seems to appreciate that. Maybe that's what you should try. Just an hour a day. It doesn't seem like much, but you can get a lot done in an hour :D

Celina-- My little dog feels the same way, I think. My husband and I have a trail we would walk together infront of our place that follows this little creek and we'd normally only take our Shepherd, but I felt like maybe she'd want to go this last time. So my friend and I went down there with them both... nope. She was done before we ever got there. Thought I was gonna have to carry her. Lol! She's a little sausage though, she needs it.
As far as the gym thing, that's my plan for this week. i work 12hr shifts at the Naval hospital so by the time I get home and get the dogs settled and clean a little I'm tired. But my days off... I think it's going to be all working out, then movie time. Maybe the zoo tomorrow. I dunno. Gotta find someone to go with though.

Nim-- EXACTLY!!!! The only reason I got back to cleaning was cause a friend was going to come over and I had been by her place the night before and it was all neat and prestine. The BED WAS MADE! Aaah! I have my dirty laundry sorted on the floor as I take it off right now. And dishes are getting done on a need to be used basis. Goodness. I used to clean daily before. Unless I was working, then Lee would usually clean for me before I got home. Such a sweety. <3

Dianna: I have a papercrafting business that I run out of my home. Well I guess I should call it a stationery business. I make greeting cards and special event invitations. I just started it about a year ago so it still has a long way to go, but I'm definitely enjoying it. Part of my business is being a demo for Stampin' Up, so if anyone wants to learn how to stamp or make cards, let me know. I'd love to teach you!

Celina: The homecoming was fabulous. I surprised my hubby by having his parents fly out from Florida to be there. He didn't think he'd be seeing them until next month, so when he saw them he was soooooo happy. Well I guess you get to enjoy a school free summer :D SDSU should be good to finish up your degree. And don't worry, you'll get an email soon enough I'm sure. Things are always super busy when they first leave so it's hard for them to get a chance to do anything besides work. Once a routine has been somewhat established, I'm sure you'll hear from him!

RightHere: TOTALLY understand the whole feeling lazy thing. It took me a long while before I started cleaning while my hubby was on deployment. It's hard to get motivated right after they leave. Plus I didn't feel the need to clean as much since I knew he wouldn't be coming home at the end of the day. But now that hubby's back, cleaning is like the #1 thing on my daily schedule :D

Christine: Congrats on your one year anniversary! My hubby was deployed on our one year anniversary last December. I ended up going to the Philippines to be with my parents for the holidays so I celebrated my one year anniversary with my parents and my aunt and uncle. Definitely not what I would have preferred. It stinks, but that's part of being a navy wife, right?

Celina, what ship is your husband with?? Mine just recently deployed as well witht he Dubuque. Joy. [Can you SEE the sarcasm oozing from that word? lol]

About that Easter earthquake. I was here at the hospital, and goodness how this place rocked!! My first one ever. Ah!

I have been doing the same Celina. Cleaning, working, and the dogs help too. Ha. It took me a while before I felt motivated enough to clean or do anything really. Not that I was quiet or mopey. Just... lazy. Lame. This is our first deployment soooo, it's fun so far. haha

NimNimsWife...what kind of business do you have?
Comment by NimNimsWife on May 29, 2010 at 9:34pm
Welcome to Christine, RightHere, Celina, and ThanksMom! Great to have you as part of our group!

Celina, my hubby is stationed out of NAS too, but he just got back from deployment so I finally get to have him at home! I totally know what you mean about keeping busy though. Not much else to do when you've cleaned everything! Thankfully I run my business out of my home so I can always just do some work when I'm done cleaning. And having two dogs helps too! So are you doing your schooling online?

Hey Christine. It's nice to "meet" you. My husband is stationed there as well. Though he's on the Dubuque and deployed now, but you know. :] How long you been married? How longs he been in? Etc, etc.

My husband and I just got married in Feb. We're both stationed out here [I'm at the hospital] and it's been ok so far, it's the Navy. Lol. My husband's been in for about a year and a half, and myself only a year. We live up in Poway and I LOVE it so far. The area is SO safe! :]
