Ruth, there is a wealth of knowledge online. Google scrapbooking basics. That's what I did when I first started.

Hello Ladies.  My son just went to A school at GL.  My friend and I scrapped for many years but due to health issues with my husband I have been doing online books. I am ready to get back to the real world of scrapping, just went and got my Navy album at Hobby Lobby.  I miss creating real albums.  The funny thing is most people who meet me think "scrappy" is because of my personality. Well, that could be true too!

I have used both the purple cow (heated) and the xyron (not heated) I love them both but I think if I had to choose the Xyron would win because I use the adhesive cartridge a lot for my scrapbooking business.

I don't have a laminating machine. I'm just starting to get back into scrapbooking so I need to replenish my supplies. I'll have to look into the laminating machine you have. Sounds like a great product!

I have a purple cow laminating machine and I have never had anything turn black. That scares me :-( If you have a Xyron you can buy laminating cartridges for it and it doesn't use heat so it would probably work great. I just got the new Xyron Creatopia YAY, early birthday present. I am so excited to use it. It does adhesive or laminating to pages up to 12" wide. You can get all kinds of cartridges for it including magnet and fabric adhesive. Plus you can get die cuts and border cutters for it. It is very cool :-)

Hobby Lobby is an AWESOME store! If you go on their website, they have an online coupon that you can print out. This coupon is not advertised on their weekly sale flyer. You MUST print it out and bring it to the store in order for them to use the discount. Also, you can find their new weekly sales ad every Sunday. Michael's also works this way.

Thank you! I was hoping to scrapbook the original tickets, but I guess I won't :(
