Was just doing some 'window shopping' at Joanns.com. They have an electronic recording button for scrapbooks.. It records for 10 seconds. It is on sale. I might get a couple of them and take them with me. Maybe get a group command or the beginning of Anchors Aweigh?

Joann....the only thing I have from his DEP days is a stack of papers he sent in his KID IN A BOX. The papers are records his recruiter kept for the months of DEP..April- Sept. Medical, physical, school records, etc. Was really interesting to look through. He was in TX just finishing his first year of college when he called and said he'd enlisted...whoa, we were stunned. But it's all good and we are very excited for him and know it is the right move for him...he hated college...
Haven't started my scrapbook yet...did you get the book with the NAVY emblem on the front...I probably will at the next sale...lol...those buggas cost money. Will be keeping all kinds of things at PIR on 10/29!!! Can't wait...

My son is a DEP and won't be leaving until March 21. He is busy with his recruiting mtgs and such and I am a wreck. I am an avid scrapbooker and he loves my albums. What will I do without him here to keep me going on them? What kinds of things from your DEP days did you put in your albums? Missing him already...Joann

Well scrappers- I have been busy repainting my house and of course my scrapbook room.then I have taken out the rubbermade drawers and put in wood dressers and a book case. I will at some point add pictures to my site. I will let you know when I have done that. Now I get to work on my projects. When school is out I go scrappin every Friday at Archievers and then another group of us meet once amonth for the weekend. We have the Scrapbook Expo coming in July. So yes my summer will be busy..

My son called me at 5:30AM to let me know he left RTC at 1AM got to Pensacola at around noon yesterday. He said it was a sight to see 30-35 sailors, all in dress whites, walking through the airports. I asked if people stopped and stared and he said they did. That must have been a pretty impressive sight! He'll be in Florida for a year with schooling. We can go see him there. We're so excited, especially his sisters!
