I use the 40 % off coupon at Joannes or at Michaels... those are my only options... we have a local place but they don't have any coupons or sales!

pmautrey - there is a Navy scrapbook that you can find at Michaels, JoAnns, and some on my Dec. site have said that they found it at Walmart.com. There are loads of navy stickers and pages.

Are you going just scrapbook Navy stuff, or are you doing your recruits entire life?

I deleted the picture of the shadowbox because I realized the name plate was visible. Happy scrapping! :-)

Thanks for looking and "appreciating" :-) I can feel the scrapbooking vibe beginning to rumble.....I did some everyday during the Christmas holidays, and usually don't have time when school is in session, but this weekend I just might have to make time!! :-)

Thanks for responding.....I did the hot glue because I was doing it yesterday. :-) Hopefully I didn't make a mistake. The squares that I was using were the heavy duty kind. But I'll try the glue dots next time.

Does anyone have any wisdom about whether hot glue might be a viable option to affix military medals to the felt in the shadow box? I've been looking at them, scrapbooking, double sided adhesive squares didn't work (gravity pulled the medals off the felt after about 20 minutes). The ribbons and rank have metal pins that stick through the felt board, but the medals have a type of pin that doesn't work.

Oh Jackie... I look forward to seeing the great creations you make with your new toys! I keep playing with my cricut! I think I need a class to really discover all it can do!
