I'm excited ladies...I've been watching you from a far - seeing some of the awesome work that you have been doing. With good intentions of starting a scrapbook for our son, I've been collecting everything from the moment he signed his DEP papers and my Sailor bought me the "Navy" scrapbook that I had looked at months ago at Michaels.

So got the book, got the pages, even have the creativity but geeeeeeeez I don't mind telling you I'm a tad intimidated seeing/hearing the work of you pros! He'll be leaving next week for his C school so I'm commited to having it completed before his next graduation date. I can see how our dining room table is going to be put to good use!!!

There is a really big mall not too far from the base. I found Navy picture frames and scrapbook at the Hallmark type store in the mall. I did not however find a store with paper and stickers. I did find a great bumper sticker that I used. There are lots of stores with Navy shirts, bumper stickers, key chains, flags and more! Also the NEX (Navy Exchange) has lots of items like t-shirts, mugs, etc.

Our Michaels is also out of the navy scrapbook... I could kick myself as when we were in Great Lakes for PIR we went to the big mall that is close by... There were many stores in the mall that had wonderful Navy picture frames and scrapbook items. I bought a few but wish now that I had bought more...

Hey scrapbookers-How are things going. I came up with a great idea that my daughter has really had a blast with-I scrapbook pages and and when I send my daughter a box then I send her the pages that I have done for her. She hangs them on her wall like wall paper-She said it gives her room personality. When she comes home or through out the next year she can send them home and all I have to do is slide them in a scrpbook and it's done. Now I am working on Thanksgiving-Christmas-Fall pages for her. Take pictures of old friends-places-pets-family and then the kids don't feel left out.I am even having her friends give me pic's to put on pages. It really is alot of fun and it cheers up the kids.Just a thought!

I'm a novice scrapbooker. I only just started since my son went to bootcamp. I've looked at your pages for ideas (I'm not very artistic) and they have been very helpful. I got my Navy scrapbook at Michael's but I noticed that JoAnn's Fabrics has scrapbook supplies on their website also. I ordered some pages from a website someone posted here and they are very nice.
