OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome Joan. I too am new to N4Ms. My son is an MA4 stationed in Virginia Beach. He is into is 2nd yr now. Boy, that is hard to believe. It seems like he just graduated from A school yesterday. He has mentioned that he would love to be stationed in Japan someday. Maybe he will. He also enjoyed his time in San Antonio, but loves Virginia Beach now. Looking forward to talking to you more.

My son is a K-9 MA at Oceana Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA. I am so proud of how much he has matured and how far he has come in just a little over a year. He is an E4 already, but is constantly striving to achieve more than is expected or asked of him. I haven't been able visit him there yet. I am going to go visit over Easter, 2009. He attended A school in San Antonio at Lackland also.

I was just spying on my friend Molly the Snipe Mom down there and found this. My son is a MA!! He finished A school in Virginia Beach in April of 2008. He went to the oil platforms off Kuwait during the heat of the summer. Now, he is back in Virginia waiting for his next assignment. He is coming home for two weeks leave after Christmas!!! YIPEE!! Today I bought red and blue lights. After Christmas, I am changing my Christmas lights outside to red, white and blue (they were out of white) for his homecoming!!!
