They have 12 divisions graduating, so they had to space them out, or they wouldn't have had time to get them all through.

Yea for you and him!!!

I am so going to shoot that recruiter.  Now he's back to leaving on the 5th.  The darn guy had his dates wrong.  I kept telling him this but he insisted it was Monday. So ok you should know...WRONG!

Devastating mom news!!  He's leaving Monday NOT Thursday.  found this out while at work. so the day went right down the hill.  Not mentally prepared for Monday.

Now making a list of all that has to be accomplished in 3 days vs 6.

How dare the Navy change things without consulting the Moms!

The MEPS thing hasn't changed. I dropped Jake off at the recruiters' office 3/8, he went to MEPS that night; swore in and shipped out the next morning.

Phone card -- I would send him with one. At least 500 minutes. I got mine from WalMart.

While I am on base, I will smile kindly in the direction of any smurfs I see, in case one is your son.

New question. 3yrs ago my son went up to meps the night before and flew out the next day.  Do they still do that or do they leave the same day the go up there?

I hate that the Navy changed what I was used to.  I'm in the dark now

Thursdays. I'm just trying to do a little early figuring since Kyle's maybe Fri July 1st and of course that's a holiday weekend.  Seems like there will be alot of travel in my family within a matter of 2 weeks. yikes!!  Coordination nightmare. but at least I'm trying to make early tentative plans.  I'm a planner.

So Next Friday for you..I so wish you could see Kyle while you're there. I don't think he'll have been there 24hrs yet at that point.

Yes, the PIRs are all on Fridays (except for 5/26/11, I guess because of Memorial Day). When were they before?
