Ryan made a quick call today to tell you all....THANK YOU, THANK YOU....for the packages that were sent for the deployed troops. What was sent made up about half of everything collected. This was a big success. It's all been repackaged and ready to ship.

I heard from Ryan today. 1st time in 3 weeks....except the 2 min call on thanksgiving. Due to some last minute changes he gets to come home on the 29th thru the 5th. I asked if he was staying here or at the GF and said I'm coming home. so I guess that means he'll be here, I was worried about that. He moaned like a little kid cuz today was his lucky day and he received small pox, anthrax and I think typhoid shots. His arms hurt, poor whittle boy. He and a lousy Thanksgiving made me feel bad for him. He's not working the 24 or 25 of Dec lets hope he has a better Christmas. My day just turned better.

Hi Girls,
I figured I better check in before Donna comes looking. Oh Kathy you must really feel the cold since you're used to the Florida winters. The low tonight Scot Haney says is 16. That's even to cold you us "old time" New Englanders. Maybe some of that nasty white stuff next week. yuk. I'll be thinking of Cathi at her PIR today. I remember when, still can't even watch the DVD without crying. Kyle doesn't have school today (darn in service days) so now I have some help doing the rest of the decorating if I can pull him off his computer game.

Welcome Carol. Unless things have changed you usually need to volunteer for an IA assignment. Not to scare you but most always they are in Iraq or Afghanistan doing what ever is needed does and not have to be in your rate. My son said he wanted to do an IA assignment after he finished boot camp. They do talk to the recruits about it. He's been in now for 11 months and just a week ago started his real "job". Todate he has not been choosen for IA. Don't even start to worry about that yet. Stuff changes all the time. Right now she will need your support during bootcamp. Write to her always, send funny cards or the comics what ever will brighten her day. It may not seem like it now but the next 9 weeks will FLY by. You'll look back and say "wow that went by fast" it did for me. I cried for weeks after my son left..felt lost and lonely so if that happens to you it is... oh so normal. We are here for support
