Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Greetings CT Moms----I just noticed that you had yourselves a little group.I'm from North Central CT and my son is currently serving on the USS Carl Vinson stationed in Newport News,VA.He also served 3 months on the Truman during it's last deployment.

Oh Marlene that sounds wonderful. Have a great time!! Kim how many people can you get on base? Wouldn't want to have to many and have issues. Oh yea, well Donna, since Sheila said you're cooking I take back my meatball offer. Instead of 15 minutes of fame you had 15 seconds. How was it?

Oh Marlene what did it miss, what trip are you taking? Hmm what pose do I have. I hate pictures. Hopefully sheila will email them to me so I can see what you all are seeing. Can't figure out why mine are stretched out. I so tried to stay awake for the news but it didn't work. The news website didn't even post any viedo's of the parade.

I only have a tshirt..Thanks Janet. But I'm dressing warm anyway. I'm old and sitting in the cold for that long I won't be able to move. Could be the new "spectator statue" pick me up in the spring.

Im' here just laying low. Donna your house at 10 tomorrow? I have to remember to set my clock back or I'll be there at 9. Done that before Ahhh. That is great news Cathi. The first call is the best. Glad he called you back. I won't tell you the voice mess my son left me when I missed his first call. I still have it on my cell phone. Didn't know it was still there till I listend to my old mess the other day. Here's hoping you have more good calls to come.
Have to bring a bunch of cloths to the Churches 2nd hand store so better get going.
