I think we will reschedule our get-together to give more people a chance to attend. Does the end of July sound good?

CTmom -- Amazing that you are talking PIR already! Time flies (at least from my point of view).

Sorry been MIA for awhile. Too much going on here the next several weeks. BC graduation, keeping fingers  crossed he pass the run..ya failed it again,  He's been really sick.  I wish RTC would take that into account.  Daughter coming back from Singapore and  me trying to set up her apt (of which shes never seen)

As far as the get-together goes, so far there are two of us and a third who may be interested. I sent an message to everyone on the list. Is anyone else interested? Is it just a bad time of the year, or maybe you don't want to go to that certain restaurant?

Congratulations! Is he excited? Is that what he wanted?

My son should get his orders in a couple weeks.

Nita, I don't know if we have anyone in that area. CT isn't a very big state, but many of us seem to live far west or north of Groton.

I think you had a good idea to check here first though, because the Groton group is probably mostly moms who live in other states with sailors in Groton.

Sheila, I am  from Schdy NY, I will be visiting my sister in Groton  during the week of July 10th. I joined your group to see if I could connect with some moms who might live in the area  of Groton, I  probably should check out the Groton sub group.  but I figured I'd check you  gals out first.

So, I've been talking to Flyersnut, and we have decided to meet this month at an Outback Steakhouse. There is one down in Orange, convenient to I-95, but we would be willing to pick a more central location if there is enough interest.

I'll add a discussion above, and once we decide where, I can PM the details ...

Comment by Valtameri on June 3, 2011 at 10:30pm

CTmom -- I'm actually talking to someone down in this neck of the woods (sort of near the coast) to see if we can arrange something, but we can certainly do more than one thing, if you have a place in mind. You know I'll drive!

BTW, How is your SR?
