Happy Thursday,
I also had a good time yesterday,it was a great way to spend the morning even though it turned into the afternoon. Well, hmm about the pics. I'm thinkng.... I usually look like a stretched prune. Have to get some stuff done today cuz I have to work tomorrow.
Kim 1 week from today you'll be in GL. Didn't the weeks go by fast? I know they did when Ryan was in BC. You think omg 9 weeks then you look back and say wow doesn't seem like it's been that long.
Have a good day

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the birthday wishes. My daughter said I have to be older than 29 this year cuz Ryan is 21. Smart a** kid. Janice she's a junior at Renesselear Poly Tech in Troy NY going for material engineering. Wow, Donna, Kim and I will all be gone next week. It's going to be kinda quiet on here. I'm leaving next Wednesday to visit a friend in VT.
My parents are taking me out to dinner so got to go. Have a good evening.

Ok, I'm back. Can't post any dog pics as I don't have a pooch but could post ferret ones. Janice does your daughter live in Enfield? I'm glad Mikey is still doing ok and how sweet of him to remember your birthday. Mine is tomorrow (I'm 29) and I know Ryan won't remember. He only calls me when he want's something. Like yesterday he was at the grocery store and wanted to know the name of a product that I buy. Then "gotta go mom call you someother time" I haven't had a conversation with him in weeks. He has called his dad. So sometimes it's hard for me to come on here and read how everyone else talks with their kids but me. I already have lots of stock in kleenex... I know "wah wah" but it hurts. I'm tempted not to answer the phone when his number comes up on caller id. But not sure if I could do that.
Ryan didn't like the food either at A school. Said they " cooked it to death" At his base in Ga he doesn't know where the chow hall is so he eats out all the time. Now wonder why he does't have any $$. What happend to the Military feeding these guys?
My daughter came home this weekend as she had the crew regatta in hartford Sunday. Then next week she has another one in Middletown so will be home again. WOW 2 weeks in a row, then she won't be home till thanksgiving. Just got off the phone with hubby he went to the Dr today and has pneumonia and bronchitis he sounded horrible. So guess he won't be able to work at least the rest of the week. Then (I can't believe this) the Dr's office made him pay the entire fee in full $200 even though he should have only paid out the 20% amount. He said he was too sick to argue. So, the witch in me came out and I called the dr... yes in Virginia... long story but the office called him back and told him to come back tomorrow and they will redo the charge dah he's sick and can't drive OMG!! I feel bad he's all alone down there. He had to take a taxi to the dr because he was afraid to drive himself. I'm up for breakfast, lunch or anything as long as it's not a Mon or Tues.
Gotta go have a good night

Son's Aim away message ..."What do you do with a drunkin Sailor".......Mom's response..(due to way to much drinking going on) ...get an intervention and send him into rehab.. Son promptly got off line.

Good Afternoon,
Sheila congrats on the job. What are your hours? Donna .. I only work part time Monday and Tues. I try to pick up extra days when they let me but do to "budget" it's not very often now. I hate it when they throw budget in your face but then get on you for work getting behind. You can only get so much done in an 8 hr day. Oh Kim that's only in a couple of weeks...you must be getting excited. I'm going to VT that weekend.
Ok, for those who know I hate to drive into hartford, my daughters crew team is coming down to race at the ct river front regatta on Sunday. So I HAVE to go.. omg!!! already panicing and have no idea how to find them. She sent me a link to the regatta but it's confusing don't know if I should go to E Hartford and take the foot bridge or find Charter Oak Landing.
I saw Ryan pop online today so I sent him an im and asked if he remembered me. He says "yes mame.. gotta go do secret stuff I'll call you this weekend" We'll see if that happens.
Phones ringing gotta go

Oh that's great news. Don't phone calls make your day.
I haven't heard from Ryan in weeks but he did call his dad today. He's still really lonely and said he hasn't left his room in 2 days. I guess he hasn't started his indoc yet so he has NOTHING to do. I just don't get!! One strange thing is, he was asked if he wanted to move off base, however he told his dad he can't afford an apt on his own even with the extra$$. Wonder why the Navy would want him off base, hmm. He has it made on base. New barracks. huge room to himself with own bathroom, microwave and fridge and doesn't have to pay utilites except cable.

Heh, just to clarify... We have budget to bring in some moms... so I had asked Sheila to join us... we just can't cover everyone (though we wish we could). If you are interested- Please let us know- you might just have to pay for your train out... we'll cover lunch. :) We would love to have you join us! CC

Janice, I like the Chili's idea, but if we march can I have my Margarita's or 2 before. If you can convince leslie to do that I'm in. You are too funny.
Donna I hope your son remembers 'dear ol mom" he may just surprise you.

I don't have a dog, just Ruby she's a ferrett. My subscription to the Courant is up soon not going to renew for daily maybe just Sunday but that one was no better than todays. Why do these companies have to ruin a good thing? I didn't know they out sourced the call center. I have a question on the parade, we're not a band., we're not military personel. we don't ride a horse, we don;t "do" anything (except love our kids) so wouldn't it look weird if a few of us are just walking?

Hello everyone,
What do you think of the new Hartford Courant? I don't like it, it's mostly ads,the parts I read most are missing and town news for the most part is non existant. Now I have too much free time in the morning. What were they thinking!!
Now I have extra time to get ready for work
Have a good day
