OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi everyone, i am new to this group,  Although I live in NYS,  My hubby was stationed in Groton some 35+ yrs ago on the USS Fulton which is now decommissioned. My sister lives in Groton with her hubby in  Military housing condos. I will be in Groton July 10-15th.. Next month in  fact. I would love to connect with any moms that happen to be in the area. My son is a Seabee stationed  in the pacific. I am active in a few groups. mostly  those revolving around crafts. valtameri, hi.. I am in a few groups with you.

We couldn't do skype as we had hoped, but I did talk to him on the phone.

Oh I so can understand that. I went from 2 to  0 in five days.

Glad the wedding was good. Did you "talk" to your son at all that day?

Comment by Valtameri on May 27, 2011 at 12:20pm

8:15? That's funny. The earliest I got a call was 9:30.

The wedding was great! But I do feel the empty nest blues, even though I still have two at home. Going from four at home to two in 2.5 months feels too sudden.
