They will keep them busy, don't worry. Congrats! Yes, when my son called, the connection was so bad it was like trying to talk across an 8 lane freeway during rushhour.

He called to say he was a sailor today at 230.  He was so tired he could barely process any of the conversation not to mention the longest call entitled to since his arrival and the phone was Eff'd up.  the connection was horrible so the conversation was choppy.  Most wanted item....boxer shorts.  Crack me up!  He starts "a" school the 24th.  Not sure what he does with the time form 14th to 24th.  does anyone have an idea?  He didn't think Liberty.

Anybody else so excited they can hardly sit still? I don't think I've been this excited since we got to go to Disneyland when I was little.

Well, the undesignated part worked in his favor so far. He talked to his dad ( while I was in the wilderness last week) and he got two of his first choices from his dream sheet. So he'll be going to Japan ( he just took 2 years of Japanese in college) and to a small/medium size ship. WhooHoo! He's excited now!

Just made last reservation for the trip ( the car). I'll be out of town with work next week so time should fly. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!

The US Mail and I have a love-hate relationship...no letter, not even a form letter yet. I read this great information page this morning about what they go through during each stage of boot camp. It was very insightful!

I guess I should get off to work, maybe a letter today, there is always hope! lol

Hi Mikey's mom my son will be in GL for A school but he has is rating already he is a EM and will be there for 15 weeks.  And I have heard if they stay in GL for A school they get liberty during the day that weekend and have to be in by 10 every night. My flight back to NY is monday morning so I do not miss one second with him.  I  read that if they are in GL they have to go check in right after PIR and that takes about 5 or so hours then they are ours for the rest of the day!

Just found another 2/292 mom. Asked her to come join us. Anybody get a call today? We didn't, but I really didn't expect one.
