update on the weather her in WI, we are like 3 hours from Great Lakes. it is really cold. no snow as of yet. not sure if they are calling for any because we have to watch the football game with the packers against the eagles. we have snow on the ground but not enough for the snowmobilers to enjoy. i will keep you all posted on the weather in this area. I have had the phone by my side the whole day. went to church and put it between myself and husband just in case but no call. i know we can all make it the next 17 days but i hold out hope everyday that i would hear my daughter's voice just even for her to say hello.

That's right Jill 18 days...actually almost 17! ;) So we can do this!!!

Deb I know how you feel. I missed my SR's call on Dec. 17, so the last time I heard my son's voice was when he called to say that he had arrived at GL safely. On the bright side, we will be hugging them in 18 days, that’s better than a phone call.

And I continue to torment myself by reading the messages on the PIR board because...haven't heard Logan's voice since the day he left...

No call here yet from div 910, div 53 & 54 called on Friday, 55 & 56 Saturday, 57 today, and I’m not sure about 58. I'm still hoping for a call though. I’m trying to stay optimistic as well, no news is good news and only 18 days until PIR so we should at least get the “I’M A USN SAILOR’’ call in about 10 to 12 days from now.

We have a winter storm warning in effect for the midlands of SC. Snow, sleet, and ice is forecasted from midnight tonight until 7 am Tuesday.  I don’t mind snow, but the last time we got ice we were without power for five days....not fun.

I'm trying to be optimistic as well!!!  Every day that I don't hear, I try to think, there's a good reason it's not today.  God has a better time planned...  I must admit, some days it's easier to say that than others!  LOL!

I don't know what the weather's like where y'all are, but here in TX we're getting some BIG 'OLE HUGE snowflakes!!!  It's rare for us, so it makes it fun.
