I dont think one phone call on saturday would be to much to ask.

I was talking to my husband who is a retired navy veteran and he was a flag carrier when he was in boot camp. He said that he got IT alot because they screwed up regularly till the end when they finally got it together. I have watched some videos of the flag bearers during prior PIRs and it doesnt look easy so I bet it will be impressive to watch them march in to the building and do their thing. God Bless them All.

Having faith that God will let the call be at the perfect timing is hard to wait on!! Jill I am so excited you shared that with me! I really hope they get a call on Saturday!! My husband does flags so I'm hoping he pushes for perfection on the drill inspection!!!

We received a letter yesterday from our daughter and she seemed in much better spirits. she said that they seemed to be getting it together and she felt really good. she did well on the pfa and weapons ins. said that she couldn't wait for graduation and being able to see us. she said she has become an expert probably as well as everyone else on 8 count body builders and mountain climbers. i am sure that they are all getting into really good shape. hope everyone is doing well and your spirits are high and we lift all the recruits up. we are so close lets keep praying for all of them.

Thank you Jill, the lines from his letter that really got me were..."So I've been praying for healing, so I can keep moving forward."..."p.s. Anyhow lots of love and thoughts of healing"

Finally...got a letter today...dated 12/31...at which point he had been sick in quarters with pnumonia & on antibiotics.  He missed the PT/WTI because of it but said they only took 5 hits out of about 80 people and that most of the other divisions think the 900's are just a bunch of "band geeks" but that the 910 & their brother div the 908 "are sorta rockin it".  He really hopes he's better soon so he can make it up or he'll be asmo 2 weeks and lose out on the performance div...lots of prayers please...

Hi all, we received two letter today from our son. One was dated 12/31 and the other 1/2. He's not gotten any mail since Christmas Eve, although we have been sending letters. I hope that it's because of the holidays and he will get them soon. It sounds like he really wants to get mail from home.

In the December 31 letter he said that division 910 still isn’t working together well and get punished regularly; but, he said “got two 5.0s on my PI/WTI (personal inspection & weapons inspection…I think) highest possible.”

Here’s the best thing…in the January 2 letter he said, We may get a 4-minute phone call on Saturday, January 8, 2011, for me and the other divisional flags doing well in practice. We may get up to an hour call if we take no more than two hits on our drill inspection.”  YEA!!!  I will be glued to my phones, I don’t plan to miss another phone call.
