Bmansmommie you have joined the two groups that would apply to your son, this group is for family and loved ones who have recruits in ship 2, division 910. We are a smaller group because the divisions are subgroups of the PIR group. I see that you are also a member of PIR 1/28/11, Divisions 53-58, 910, Most if not all of us in this group are also members of the PIR group. The PIR group is for family members and loved ones with recruits in all the divisions graduating on January 28. There are many other groups on this site and you can join as many as you like. You can visit a group and read posts without joining, but if you want to post (chat) with a group you must join that group first. I am a member of eight groups, but division 910 and PIR 1/28 are primarily where I spend most of my time.
Jill and Tricia- Thanks you both for the information!!!
I have made our reservation to stay at the Navy Lodge in the Great Lakes. I am very happy with the price and the distance to the gate for PIR. I am still trying to figure out how to be in the chat that is for our group. I seem to be in General chat area....not sure if that is correct!?!
I have been stressed out this entire time my SR has been away at BC and I am unsure if he will be happy to see us if we do not have his girlfriend with us. Not sure if she is going to come or not and really did not want her to go for the trip because there is so much to discuss and rejoice in with him.
Tricia & AggieNavyWife- no kidding, we're glad we found out she was changed from cymbals to drum - taking pics of wrong kid would STINK. But, you're right, what a BC story that would be - lol :-)
Definately bringing binoculars to PIR!
Tricia- I SO know what you mean about nerves! I was talking with some friends and saying that it feels like I'm going on a first date all over again! I'm SCARED and EXCITED all in the same breath for the changes that face us with military life.
SDPam- I'll be looking for her playing the drum and NOT the cymbals, but I'm glad you got word on what she's doing for performance.
Just think gals, we get ANOTHER week of pictures for their performance THIS Friday!!! Then... GULP... it's OUR TURN!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO
