She is 5 ft 5 in and has been since high school. Her recruiter measured her and they measured her at MEPS and she was 5 ft 5 in, but I am assuming they measured them quickly at basic and I guess that is how they came up with 5 ft 4 in instead. Crazy is right!!!
Anyway she said she was not going to have a hard time loosing it, that she was cutting back on the carbs and running harder so it should come off in a week or two. The funny thing is she said her cloths were fitting bigger and she felt lighter, but was shocked when the recalculated her height and put her in the lower weight range.
Also, I am thinking the muscle that is building up weighs more.
Hey ladies, sorry for this late posting.
Got our call on Friday evening and she sounded good. Just complained about those darn heavy boots making her blisters and wishing they had longer time on the phones, but all was going well. She said she has been doing well on her academic scoring and her physical fitness evals. But, she has to loose a few pounds because it seems she shrunk an inch by their measurments therefore he weight category was lowered!!! I didn't ask her about BS21, but she said thus far she was still on track to PIR 02/18.
Hope everyone got their calls and their sailors are doing well.
So from what I have read below, am I understanding that the Ship name for their Div is the USS Hopper? I was hoping it would have been named after one of the five carriers my brother served on in the 30 years he was in the Navy, but he did not serve on the Hopper.
Deb I was wondering that. Usually they have battlestations like a week before grad and I think our guys are going to have it like a day or two before. Perhaps that's when it will switch over?
My hubby said they still aren't considered a "senior division" which sucks because they have been there for so long, you know? Like I want them to get more writing privileges already!
