@Wife64 - So glad you heard from him.  Can't believe someone would buy candy when they are in training!!!  That person has to learn when he fails, his division will pay the price.

Oops on the newspaper clippings, I sent some to my daughter but will scan and print when I send her more.

@ Skyle - Welcome aboard!

**They turned off the phones on Christmas Eve while he was talking to his parents he said...just to clarify!

My husband's letter today said:

They turned the phones off because some guy tried to buy candy at the NEX.

If they get good pistol scores they can graduate with 2 ribbons

They started swimming Tuesday (1/4)

DON'T SEND NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS! He said they have to be scanned in or photocopied onto regular paper.

They got 2 IT sessions on 12/29. One was 1 hour, one was 1/2 hour

He said his mail will come in clusters since he will mail it in clusters. Not sure if that's just him or if that goes to everyone.

Then he said the sweetest stuff to me :) It melts my heart <3

Hi DebBee,

I haven't gotten any calls yet, but he sounds good in his letter. I am very excited to learn as much as possible about his experiences there. I think it is funny that he does so well keeping his bunk and rack looking ship shape, considering when he lived at home his room was a disaster!  :)

Hi ladies! Got a letter from my son on Monday, Yay! Already making plans for PIR. Sending him letters almost everyday, hoping to get as much info as possible about his life there.

Received our first letter from our daughter, it was written christmas day, she sounded good in the letter and that the food they were served that day was Prime Rib, Ham, Turkey and all kinds of great amenities.  They were woken up that morning with Alvin and the Chipmunks singing "Christmas don't be late"!  She said some were crying, she thought is was funny because her dad would always wake them up on Christmas morning singing that song!

Keeping her in prayer and motiviation as much as I can, counting days until PIR 02/18!~
