Hi Dale. Welcome to our group.

This group has been a blessing  in so many ways. Great support here and wonderful people. It's a nice way to hear what our sons are doing. Everyone gives some info so it makes it better to understand what they going through.

Dale, we are from Ocean, New Jersey. My son just got married in Oct. Then off to BC on Dec. 13th. .I'm sure this is very hard on the both of them.

Again, welcome!!!

I was born in New Jersey. I'm sure that is real hard on both of them. Is this your only son in the armed forces? Luckily my son doesn't have a girlfriend at this time. Are you going to go to graduation? We are - can't wait, especially to see him in uniform. Thanks for responding
Hi Lorraine! Your son got married before BC that must be hard on them for sure! Mine wants to get married while in A school! Not sure how that's going to work... must do some research on that matter!! : )
Welcome Dale! So nice to have you join us! We are growing every week. It's really nice to have another member. Guess all our loved ones are in this together and we mine as well be too! Really terrific support here! Good to meet you!
Is your son in the 082 also? This is all new to me. Hope to meet some people who are with my sons division. He's going to IT school in Pensocola when he graduates. Planning on going to graduation-can't wait
My daughter is in this division 082. All the ladies in this group are Mom's with kids in division 082. My daughter will stay in Great Lakes for her school. She will be there about a year. We are excited about graduation too! All of us Mom's will be sitting in the same section so we will definitely see one another!
That's so awesome your daughter - how old is she? Can't wait to see some of the parents
Emily is 23 too!
Would love to hear from more Mom's in our group

Hi Dale! Yes, this is my only child in the military. Our son seems to me the old man of the group. He is 32 and very devoted to wanting to serve his country. We are so proud of him. I am a Kdg. teacher here in NJ and we have Earle Navy Base as part of our school district. So I am very aware of what Navy families go through. Especially being seperated from their wives.

We are going to graduation. My husband, my daughter my son's wife and me. My only concern is that he is fairing well with his age.

Where in NJ were you from? I am origianlly from north Jersey and now am living  at the Jersey shore as well as Florida.

I was from Mickleton, a farm community, we moved to California when I was 8 yr old. Lived in Paradise, Ca till we moved out to Idaho in 1993. Love it here, except sometimes winters can be bad. That's great he still wanted to serve. Brian says the food is good, they just don't give you enough time to eat.
