My daughter was just moved to holding this week.  I received a call on Thrusday letting me know but I do not have a new address to send mail.  Is there just one address for the Holding Ship to send mail too or do I need to wait until I hear from her? Not sure what to do next.

Johnita...Sorry to hear of your daughter's injury. Will be praying for her quick recovery.  This is the address our son had when he was there.

SR last name, first name, middle initial

                                                                                                    Ship 04 Div 2341

                                                                                                    3600 Ohio St.

                                                                                                    Great Lakes, IL 60088-7103

This is the address for the RCU unit. Is this where she said she was going to be? When our son called he read from a script and he was only able to tell us he broke his leg and this was his new address. We weren't able to ask questions and he wasn't able to give us any other information. The phone call lasted only 30 seconds. He has finally finished Master of Arms training and is home for a few days before transferring to his new assignment.  They will take care of her. It may take a while for her to heal, but tell her not to rush it. It is better to stay there for a while than to try to get back to training too soon. You don't want her to re-injure the foot.  We will keep you in our prayers.

Thank you so much for the infomation and for the prayers.  Best of luck and also prayers for your son and his new assignment. God Bless this country with children like this.  Thanks again

Join this group. They are a great group of Moms and the support is awesome. They can help you with the process as she goes through the phases of recovery and what to expect. Send lots of letters. They are really bored there and will get depressed easily. She will begin to feel like she has let you down within a week or so so just keep encouraging her. Hugs and Prayers, Susan
