What time in the morning on Saturday and Sunday does liberty begin? Thanks for all the info!!

They must be in their barracks at the end of liberty, make sure they have enough time to get their, better to be early than late and cause them to lose some of their liberty for the whole group.

Please read these guidelines and follow them as it is very important and you do not want to get your sailor in trouble.  There will be people out in public watching to make sure the sailors are following the rules.

Liberty is ‘time off’ from the daily routine. Graduating Sailors will be granted liberty to go off-base during the day with their families.

  1. Graduating Sailors may not smoke, drive, or consume alcoholic beverages while on liberty.
  2. Graduating Sailors must stay within a 50-mile radius of RTC.
  3. Graduating Sailors must remain in their complete uniform while on liberty. If they are engaging in physical activity or swimming, they must be in authorized Navy issued workout gear.
  4. Liberty expires at 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 p.m. on Sunday. No overnight liberty is authorized. Due to security checks and transit time, please allow ample time for graduating Sailors to walk back to their assigned ship prior to the end of liberty.
  5. Families may not enter the base after graduation and will need to meet graduating Sailors for liberty at the main RTC gate.
  6. Graduating Sailors departing RTC for follow-on training the same day as graduation or in a duty status will be granted limited on-base liberty.
  7. Graduating Sailors receive an in-depth liberty briefing prior to their graduation day.

For those that are wanting to give your sailor a gift for graduation, you can give him a NEX Gift Card.  They can buy a lot of things there and you can order them online.

I am completely naive too.... And happy to remain so! Best to not know some stuff, right?! I had no idea what that meant either. Yes, I think I'm perfectly content to remain ignorant... My gosh. Ha!

Sorry I asked (ha  ha)  Just wondering if anyone else new how bad it was.  I guess our boys are just one tough bunch.

We are going to need to print out our parking passes ladies. I just read it on another site that someone said to do it either Monday or Tuesday. According to our form letter it says it can be printed out 11 days prior to PIR. My goodness, we are so close! Make sure you have your form letter because our SIR put a password on their that we will need to use to access the parking passes. It was the first letter we got with their address and the names they put on the guest list.
