Ann- That would be a good question for the RTC Facebook page. I know they give the guys a form to fill out that the Navy will send to their hometown paer, but it is up to them to turn it in. I'm not sure if our guys get the same option, I had just seen a general discussion about it on the facebook page a week or so ago.

Skyler- My son mentioned your son in his letter. They were coming up with ideas for their div flag and my son is good at drawing so he drew out some of the ideas. One of them he said "the clown was (your Sr's name) idea cuz they call us clown punchers" LOL I was excited to see a familiar name! (They didn't choose one of his drawings though)

Thank you so much! One more question from my husband: our local small town newspaper will publish news of locals who graduate from military basic training, with or w/o a photo, inc. names of parents. Since my SR is SpecWar bound, is this allowed, and if so, what are the guidelines? We want to brag, but want to do the secure thing for all, so if this is not allowed, no problem.

I wondered about those acronyms, too--there are so many to learn! WTI is Weapons Training Instruction, and Zone refers to zone inspection of their quarters. I found these on some website--maybe http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ ?

Ok, I checked the NAVY Speak on the right side of this page. Got the Personal Inspections, but no deff. on WTI or ZONE.

My son's girlfriend got a letter this morning. My mail doesn't come until the afternoon. Hopefully I will get one too. If not, at least one of us heard from him. She asked him why they received a flag and his response was 'Because our division is so smart!"  Ha ha ha! DIVISION 806 ROCKS!!! I can't wait to see  him. I am crying as I am typing this!!  :) We are getting closer ladies!!

So I called the Ramada and the meet n greet is in the Bar. So how about Skyler's back right corner idea? From the doorway facing in we will meet in the back right corner @ 7:00. We will wear our burgundy scarves to make it easier to spot each other. I think we may wear our ribbons that Lalaribbonqueen made as well. Can't wait!

Mainemom, go to the bottom of this page to the right under Events.  to the bottom is the PIR 4/1/11. click on that and you should be able to RSVP. Unless there is another way, I'm not sure but you can do it this way as well!!

I've only had 2 letters too. I would love to hear just something!
