Welcome mcurrid- I see you are from Katy, so am i! Where did your son go to school? Mine graduated from Mayde Creek in 2010.  I wonder if our sons took their PST's together before going to bootcamp. Did your son work out with the group at the Y in cy-fair?

We are driving from Ga. Leaving here sometime Wed. 3-30. Stopping 1/2 way overnite, then arrive GL Thursday afternoon. Anybody checked the weather for PIR yet? I know it's inside, but wondering about outside-clothing. My son's girlfriend and her Mom, and GF's college roomie visited tonight ( we live very close).  We talked about him, and how excited we all are about PIR-they are coming too. Had a bad day here, too. Cold and rainy out, and blue in, but nice to have the visit, and see all my friends here, too. 22 days! HooYaw!

Proudmomma, I know how you feel.  It is so hard not knowing what is going on with our boys and not being able to to talk to them or see them when we want to and it is so nice to know there we have a place to go to where someone will understand. I would like to thank everyone for being here and for all the support it helps make a hard day a little easier. Thanks again, looking forward to meeting Y'all.

I agree ProudMomma- We have an awsome group here. We all have our days. I got tearful at a presentation at my youngest son's school last week. it was the 5th gr graduation for a Stay Drug Free kinda group (POWER) and the presenter started talkin about when his son told him he was goin into the military. You never know when it will get to you! ( I guess the parents around me thought I was choked up over my youngest getting close to the end of elementary) Maybe it was both.. : )

I was hoping for a letter today too and watching for the mail lady! I got so excited when she came but no letter.  I have to go to Mass this evening so I hope IF there is a phone call, I won't miss it...

Yeah! Got letter today, again very short but still has wonderful things to say about the whole divison and the RDC's. No mention of possible phone calls. Just said they are all doing great and he thinks it is the best division.
