Thanks to TexasSailorMom for inviting me to this group.  It is so nice to hear what the kids are sharing with everyone.  I am excited to meet everyone.  Is anyone else going in to the AIRR program?

I'm not sure how the group message thing works on here. Tried it b4 and no one responded so I figured no one got the message. on our personal  page there is a place to sent private messages if u click "send a message" from the list under the profile pic on someone's page then that message goes to their inbox, not the comments at the bottom of the page. The inbox can only be seen by the person who owns the page. To get to each others private page just click the person's name or profile pic. Your inbox is on the right side of your presonal page for you to open. Hope this helps.

So glad you got another letter Arkansasmom! I checked too early today and never made it back to the mailbox. Wish it was right out front like they used to do!

Arkansasmom thanks for the info in the ribbons, I am going to try and order some also. Also just want to let everyone know I just wrote my son a letter included a few jokes and told him he could pass the letter around so maybe some of the guys that don't get letters or get very few can enjoy the letter also.  I am going to try and call the RTC Public Affairs office tomorrow to see if there is a way we can send letter to the division as a whole in case we do no get any specific names.  That way they can pass them around and everyone can have a letter to read.

Also wanted to let you all know that I just found out that that Lala Ribbon Queen makes ribbons for us to wear at the PIR, you all may already know this but like I mentioned before I am kind of slow at figuring my way around this site and I just found out.  The ribbons look really nice and they are only $5.00, just thought I would mention it in case anyone else was not aware of the ribbons and may want to order some. I just ordered mine.

Just wanted to let you all know I received my second letter today.  It was a short letter but very sweet. He did not date the letter but I am assuming he wrote it Sunday.  He said he loved getting all of the cards and letters that we have been sending him.  I would love to send letters to the guys that are not getting any mail as well.  Please let me know the names too. Proudmomma - I am like you I have trouble navigating and leaving messages as well. I would love to share my son's name in a private way too but not sure how to do that.  My son was also curious about who's mom was in the group.  He mentioned a boy from NC they call Sea Legg and a boy from LA that they call Gator and Cajun (he said they were very funny kept everyone laughing).  I thought he said there was about 70 guys in this division (if so, we are missing a lot of moms) but I may have misunderstood him as the conversation was going so fast and trying to get a bunch of questions answered.  Hope everyone gets their second letter soon.

I read on fb on the RTC page that they see people dressed in jeans to prom dresses. They recommend you think of how you'd like to look with your sailor in his new blues... :-) I also wrote my SR telling everyone's username and where you're all from... don't know about how much we're supposed to say. It seems like if you sent a private message to everyone in the group it would remain private between all of us. Yea! 29 days!!

Does anybody know how we should dress for the graduation?? I was planning on wearing a dress I think

Maybe we can go to the top of this page there is an area where it says send message to group. Would that be a private message just for us in this group? I would love to be able to tell my son's who's mom I'm speaking with!! what do you all think??
