Ok, so In my form letter the added part said:
I'm in the Band division, we had to wait an extra week so all the people in my division could get here so we just started Pdays.
I'll have like 5 weeks of bootcamp and the last 3 are preforming at graduations and other places. I'm not too sure when I'll be able to call next. Love,

So yes it is a band division. yes he loves us. LOL

note to self: do not stalk then postal workers. :D

My hubby wants to have more visit time then travel time so he thinks the lodge will give us that. Since it isn't until like list minute if they are grad and go or not. But we will see where we end up. I'll tell him you are looking at the Residence Inn.
As for the test it's the last one before senior year and he really needs to take the test. So we will see. It's all a part of being the parent of 3, means more directions to deal with. It's up to them if they want to go to GL or what. They both got quiet when I pointed out that overlap.
We will see.

Did you get a chance to see this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7GTgx7CXaI&feature=related My son showed me it before he left. kinda eased me a bit. Hoe you like it.

Another mom told me that the PIR link will be updated again on Monday, so hopefully we will get confirmation then. Or, better yet, maybe we will get our letters!
We thought about the lodge, but hubby thinks the lad may want to spend as much time off base as possible, so I think we are going to go to the Residence Inn in Waukegan. Hope to make reservations, including flights, as soon as we get that letter.
Can your youngest change his test date? The basketball camp--guess that won't change--bummer.

And FYI my Hubby is planning on us staying at the Navy Lodge when PIR time comes. He says it's real close. No big frills there but close is great since the weekend sounds like it will be a rush, rush one. And now we have conflicts with our two other boys if it is June 11th. One has a Basketball camp (does he go or miss it. He really loves basketball and this camp is highly recommend by his coaches( and the middle has SAT or ACT testing that Saturday (YIKES!) . So the parenting juggling continues.

Maybe Tall is why they got in the 930 div. I haven't heard anything on grad date yet nor have we gotten our form letter. I'm off today and hoping maybe mail will come that has info in it, but doubt it will be here. I've been checking the recruit training site for the grad date. I've cut and pasted it here did know if you knew about the site. (I didn't know how to make it a link sorry)

Well all of you have a great day!

Sounds like "tall" really won't help us any. :)
So, ZMom, your guy wants to be in a sub huh? We went to visit a WWII sub the weekend before Duston left. As he stood in the tight quarters, he said "Take a picture of why Duston is not volunteering for subs."

Does he play an instrument? As for a call home on Mother's Day we can hope but I am not counting on anything til it happens. Ian is also tall and skinny. He has a big smile and is quiet til he gets to know folks. He has a shaved head right now so I'm guessing any of the guys will look like him. He has a girlfriend named Debby.
As for the box I got mine last Thursday. There wasn't a form letter in the box I believe that is because grad date is not set yet.
My friends daughter had the 900 div when she went thru basics and when I told her the USS Conn she said That is a good ship to have. It's close to the mess hall.Did does he have a phone card with him? Another mom suggested sending a large envelope folded in a letter Address it to home so when he gets to much mail to store at Basic he can send it home.
Hope that helps ya!

My son is about 6' 2" very tall and thin. he use to have dirty blond hair, but im sure you can't tell what color it is now. Barely met requirements for the Sub. I don't think you can be taller than 6' 4". I received the "Box". He only kept his wallet which I had already assumed he would. Just waiting now for a phone call. I sent him a letter today so I feel a little better about the situation. Still waiting for a phone call... I assume maybe in a week or two...I don't know? Hopefully atleast a call on Mothers Day. That would be great.
