Well I also read on another group thing that each ship at basic is named after a ship in history. USS Constitution has a nick name of Old Ironsides. I googled and found this website. Which has t-shirts and charms. Now I'm not saying buy any of it, just saying it is there.

sajest- Is it a flower for the hair? I never go into Claire's must be the lack young girls in my home. LOL I'll check it out. What kinds of colors were there?

So some have suggested a flower on our shirts and also same color shirts. I was at Wal mart this past week in the jewerly (if that is what you can call it LOL) accessory dept they had beaded Necklaces in many colors. We could pick one color. As for flowers since we would need them all weekend Silk flowers from the craft store would be my suggestion. All one has to do is buy one and cut the stem and tape it We could all use duct tape as to have silver showing. LOL
Anyway just thoughts. Who has to still make reservations for the weekend?

Happy Weekend to all!

that's a really good idea, I was actually thinking about that before I got his letters today. It would be a good stress reliever for mom's who don't get calls...lol.

Joyce- Here's hoping the mail carrier brings you a wonderful suprise. As for the phone call see it was something that simple.
Maybe we should start a group The div called home but my recruit didn't. and then list the reason. It might help others too.

Just had to let you all know that Wayne's gf got letters today. I'm still at work so hoping that Mr. Mailman will be nice today. :)

One letter on May 5th said he can make a phone call on Friday which would have been 5/7 and the next letter she read said...never mind, I don't have a phone card! :(

So, hopefully he will get my phone card today and be able to call over the weekend. I'm so relieved! : D

it sure don't. So many things are running through my head but I need to have confidence that he can do this. I don't want him to think I doubt him. I keep thinking that no news is good news but it's just so hard with 4 weeks down and only 1 letter and no phone call. I got a letter last Thursday so maybe I'll get one tomorrow.
