@crmom - Where are you staying?

I just booked my room at the Ramada. I'm soooooo excited. Also, my cousin is able to come with me so I don't have to worry about traveling alone anymore. I am really, really excited now. Less than two weeks away!!!!

Ladies, don't forget to wear a white top with a red ribbon to the meet 'n greet so we can find each other.

I just made all of my reservations this afternoon and I'm really looking forward to getting to be at the PIR.  I'm not so sure that I'll be looking forward to the Mastercard bill in Feb., but it's well worth the investment to see my SR graduate and to tell him how proud I am of him.

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year. I wonder what the sailors did. I don't suppose anyone got a call.

@BobbieChris - Pam gets 4 page letters? Wow! Somebody must be in loooooove. Please let her know she can chime in anytime and help us ease our worries and concerns about what's going on. By the way, did you hear any more about the special ceremony?

Not sure who to let know but my sister (CR's mom) and I will be at the Meet and Greet at the Ramada.  She talked me into flying up there with her to see CR graduate.  I will need some type of strong beverage at the Meet and Greet to calm my nerves after flying (hate to fly) and after driving from Chicago airport (I'm the better driver of the two sisters).  Sorry sis  :o)  She is the shy sister so I am making her come to the M&G so she can meet all of you.  By the way sis, we are going to the Meet and Greet at the Ramada.  :o)

@crmom - If you aske either of my sons, they will tell you its a matter of national security and public safety that I am not allowed anywhere near the kitchen let alone cook.  One of my son's former ROTC instructors nearly died laughing when some of the unit came in and said they had the best meal in their entire life and that it was at our house.  Knowing my cooking abilities, the instructor asked what did they have pizza?  When they told him it was spaghetti and meatballs, he called me to find out what was going on.  When I explained it was even I could not mess up putting frozen meatball into a can of sauce and microwave it, he nearly died laughing

I love the comment from the mom that doesn't cook!  I also set the bar very low in that department and my son would joke about growing up one day and fondly remembering my good "spaghetti" while the other people around him mentioned all kinds of dishes their moms cooked.  Phew!!  It's a relief to know that there are some other moms that aren't great cooks.  I think I missed out on getting that gene at birth.  My grandmothers and my mom could cook, but that talent skipped my generation.  Thanks for the laugh.

Thank you surfermom!!!!  It's nice to have good connections!  I chuckled at the thought of him being given that message.  I love that!
