FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sorry for your loss Emlovee.  Hope we all hear from our SR's tomorrow afternoon.  I can't believe we are getting so close to PIR.

crazeekat-- i had talked to one of my fiancee's navy buddies and he said battlestations was so fun because the ship was designed by disney and is so realistic its like being in a video game except they actually get to do the stuff.

 

thank you all for the prayers, i am also praying for your SR's that they finish up strong and we will all get our hugs in a few days :D

maybe i will see some of you their,  i will be the one with the big pregnant belly crying through 3 boxes of kleenex!! lol

Emlovee-praying for you and your family. I am trying to keep busy to keep my ming off of what our SR's are going through! I made his favorite cookies-choc chip to take, hopefully they make it there before I eat all of them!

So sorry for your loss.  I will be praying for your fiancee as well. 

 

I read somewhere today that battlestations is actually one of the funest times for the SR's -- that if you ask them they enjoy this the most out of anything... maybe because it is the finale.  I hope for the best for all our guys... again special prayers to those in need.

emolvee - I'm sooo sorry to hear of your fiancee's Grandmother passing.  My prayers are with all of you during this time.  My deepest and heartfelt sympathy go out to you.

i already felt emotional enough today, and now i just foudnout my fiancee's grandmother died :,( ughhh! he is going to be crushed! this changes everything. this was his moms mom and his mom died when he was 6, he was so close to her that this is hurting me just knowing how ruened he is going to be when he hears it.

Prayers to all SR's and loved ones waiting anxiously for their calls.  It will be a long, long wait.  Hope we all can sleep tonight.
