Meagan, welcome to our group!! Better late than never, there's definitely a wealth of knowledge here. :)

I received a letter from my husband today, we're going to Norfolk VA after his A School! So freaking excited!!!!! I can't believe it's one week away, tomorrow. I'm going to buy a new outfit this weekend LOL. :) :)

I've been on my husbands butt about ordering pictures and he said in his letter "Yes, Wife, I ordered your stinking photos and the Graduation DVD!" And he laughed after that. :) He's probably thinking "damn, I'm 12 hours away and STILL have the nagging wife!" Anyway, hope everyone had a wonderful day!

We live in a very small town and we went to the local post office (one room building) to mail a package today and the lady behind the counter said we almost called you yesterday because we were unsure if the mail was going to be delivered (due to all the ice and snow) because your son wrote letters and we knew that you would want them! I told her yes we would have come down to get them. There is something to be said about small towns!

The Honor awards are on the RTC web page under FAMILIES and then click GRADUATION and then HONOR GRADUATES.  This weeks PIR honor grads are listed.  I assume ours will be posted early next week.

Thanks for the flag info!  I didn't know about that!  I ordered one today.  I haven't heard about the honors award... I haven't had any recent letters so hoping that someone else can update us... it is safe to say that my son stinks at letter writing!  Something I will be telling him next week!  :)

Crazee kat....It is a flag to hang in your window to honor military service members.  To show that you have a loved one in the military.  Here is the link where I ordered mine but I believe there are others.  This one is FREE.  Let me know if you have problems.

My fiancee is a part of Ship 09 DIV 071 so I am pretty excited to have found this group! :) I have been reading through the comments posted on here and have gathered some more information that he hasn't remembered to tell me. He isn't the best with details! He will also be going to Pensacola for A school in Aviation!! so great to meet some people going through the same stuff!

TexasMom,

You are brave to drive!! We are supposed to get snow here today as well, I hope we do -- my little one wants to build a snowman!! Something we have never done in our front yard before!! Just FYI I looked at tickets yesterday and they were less than $270 ea from Houston.

Can't wait to hug my boy either!! I wonder if some of them will appreciate u's just a bit more now!! :)
